This is Photoshop tutorial will show you how to create cracked text with a few steps.

Step 1.
Start off by making a new Photoshop document with dimensions of around 250x180, and a black background. For this tutorial i've used a font called Tabun, but you can really use any font you like. Create grey text using these settings. Rasterize the layer, by right clicking on it in the layers panel and choosing "rasterize layer". Apply the noise filter (filter > noise > add noise), using these settings.

Step 2.
Make a selection using the layer and create a new layer below the text. Expand (select > modify > expand) the selection by 7 pixels and fill the layer with dark grey (454545)
Step 3.
Apply bevel and emboss (layer > layer > style > bevel & emboss) on the dark grey layer, using these settings. Apply a pattern overlay (layer > layer style > pattern overlay), selecting the patterns set and choosing the the "metal landscape". Set the pattern to these settings, and you should have something like in image b).

Step 4.
Make a selection, using the text, and expand (select > modify > expand) it by 1 pixel. Fill a new layer with dark grey/red (514141). Feather (select > feather) and contract (select > modify > contract) the seletion by 7 pixels. Delete the area that's selected, flatten the image (layer > flatten image) and duplicate the layer.
