Creating a nice flame logo

In this tutorial I will show you how to create a nice logo with a flame as the base thing

Create a new document 400px x 400px. Using the paint bucket tool and the foreground color set to 292929 fill the background with that color.

Take the custom shape tool and set it to “Fire”.


Using this color ffba00 (set the foreground color to that color) create a fire shape as in the image below:

Next apply the next settings (Right click on the layer > Blending options):

You should have something like this:

Now for the final stuff, set the foreground color to ffc21d and the background layer to 292929. Using the Gradient tool and the gradient set to foreground to transparent create a gradient beginning from down to up. CTRL + Click on the fire shape to make a selection on it. With the gradient layer still selected press delete to delete a part from it (to delete the gradient standing over the fire). Last thing lower the opacity of the layer to 30%.
