Peach Graphics Layout

Step 1

Create a new document 800x800px, fill the background with #edc777. Create a new layer named 'main bg'. Using the Rounded Rectangle Tool make a selection a hundred or so pixels down from the center of the document. Fill the selection with #1d1c1a and apply an outer glow and a stroke.

Step 2

Add some text above the 'main bg' layer, and duplicate it, apply Edit > Transform > Flip Verticle, lower the opacity to 20%.

Step 3

Add some more text for links at the top of the 'main bg' layer, colour is #f4f4f4, font is Tahoma, and size is 11pt, center it. Make a new layer named 'link hover'. For a hover effect, we will use the Rounded Rectangle Tool again and make a selection around one of the links (showing the top rounded corners, but not the bottom - you can do this by making the selection and then using the Rectangular Marquee tool and holding down the Alt key while deselecting the bottom rounded corners), fill your selection with #ffffff, and lower the opacity to 10%.

Step 4

Create a new layer named 'banner'. Make a selection of about 670x120px (depends on your width of the 'main bg' layer - leave about 10px on the sides), set your foreground a and background colours to #a27132 and #edc777. Apply Filter > Render > Clouds. Apply Filter > Skectch > Water Paper with the default settings, or play around a bit to get something you like. Add some text on the banner, a page title.

Step 5

Now we are going to do the footer, so make a new layer named 'footer' and make a selection the width of your banner, and 3px high. Fill the top 2 pixel rows with #d9b167, and the bottom pixel row with #7f7c82. Add some copyright text, colour #7f7c82, font is Tahoma, and size is 11pt, center it.

Step 6

Finally we are just going to put some fill-in text, for the mini-header the colour is #f9f9f9, font is Tahoma, size 12pt. The main text is #c7c7c7, font is Tahoma, size 11pt.
