This is a very easy and simple tutorial to just add a nice and different affect to normal images. This works well with avatars and Sigs. So just give it a try :D
Step 1 - Open Photoshop, then open any image which u desire.
Step 2 - Now duplicate your image and lock the original so if u make a big mistake u won't mess up original image.

Step 3 - Now lock the main image and now on the copy of the image rename it and call it "Cutout". Now go to Filters > Artistic > Cutout. Now apply these settings.
Number of Levels = 4
Edge Simplicity = 4
Edge Fidelity = 2
Now that is done it should look something like this

Step 4 - Now what u need to do is unlock the main image and duplicate it again, then lock it back up again.
Step 5 - Now what u need to do is with the duplicated image add a Graphic Pen filter to it but before u do this make sure you're pallet is set back to normal do this by pressing "b" on the keyboard. Now go to Filters > Sketch > Graphic Pen. Add these settings
Stroke Length = 15
Light/Dark Balance = 50
Stroke Direction = Right Diagonal.
Step 6 - Now click ok, now u must make sure the layer u just did, is above the Cutout layer, this is were u set the blending mode to Overlay, now set the occupancy to 50% and delete the main image at the bottom and then save it as a new file.

That's it! You're finished this is the finished result.
This tutorial also works well with Sig's and avatars and it is very simple :D.
