TV Effect ( Old movie effect )
1. Open a picture

2. Create a new layer ( Layer-> New-> Layer )
3. Fill the layer with a black color ( Use the Paint Bucket )
4. Now, use the Grain-Filter ( Filter-> Texture-> Grain )

It’s important to set the grain type to ‘Vertical’. Its your decision to set the intensity and the contrast. But make sure that there arent to much strips! An example:

5. Repeat step 2-4 about 4-5 times. ( use for every repeat another value )
Your layers with the grain-filter could be look like this:

6. Now, we change the blend mode for all layers ( except the layer with the picture !! ) to ‘screen’

Now your picture have to look like this:

Mh yes,.. it’s okay but how to animate this now??? Right! The answer is Image Ready!
7. Press the Image Ready button to change the program:

Image Ready :
1. First you have to fade out all layers except the layer with the picture, of course.

2. Create a new layer. ( click the little arrow-> New layer )

Create 10-15 new Frames. ( Later you can change the number of the Frames )
3. In the first Frame u fade in one(!!) of the layers with the grain-effect, in the second frame fade in another layer of the invisible layers... and so on! Just one layer for one frame!! ( The layer with the picture have to be visible all the time )
